Programme

This evidence-based programme was developed for students' literacy acquisition. It is available at both junior (for primary students) and senior levels (for the advanced or older student). Each lesson covers the topic material at a foundational as well as a differentiated mastery and extension level. Varied exercises and activities integrating visual, auditory, and kinaesthetic input lure the child into engagement. This differentiated composition of the lessons provides the teacher the freedom to select appropriate exercises to meet the student's individual needs. We endorse Anna Gilligham's view: "Work as fast as you can but as slow as you have to."

Scope and Sequence

The Scope and Sequence shows the phonics topics; however, it is important to know that each lesson consists of a comprehensive range of literacy skills:  phonemic awareness, word study key words, orthographic mapping, vocabulary, high frequency words, decoding, comprehension, encoding, morphology, editing, grammar and syntax. Lesson contents are cumulative and centred around the specific topic (see below).
